Think of our first session like a meet-and-greet with your mental health guru. I’ll ask about what’s been going on in your world, what brings you to therapy, and what you’re hoping to achieve. You can expect a safe space to be yourself, some insightful questions to spark those “aha” moments, and a taste of how I work and what you can look forward to in future sessions. No pressure here, just heaps of support and a sprinkle of sass to keep things lively.
Therapy is all about finding that sweet spot between progress and reflection. Typically, we start with weekly sessions, but we’ll tailor a schedule that suits your unique needs and goals – whether that’s biweekly or another custom plan. My goal is to empower you to handle challenges independently while also knowing when to lean on support.
Therapy is a highly individualized experience. Some folks might find their groove in a few sessions, while others take a bit longer to unravel and sew up their emotional seams. It really depends on your goals, the challenges you’re facing, and how deep you want to dive. Think of it as a journey rather than a destination. We’ll go at your pace, making sure every step is meaningful and productive.
Ah, the allure of the quick fix! While medication can be a helpful tool in managing mental health, it's like putting a band-aid on a bullet hole if you're not addressing the root causes. Talk therapy dives deep, helping you understand the why behind your struggles and equipping you with the tools to conquer them long-term. So, while medication might offer relief, the real magic happens when you combine it with therapy, creating a powerhouse partnership that's tough to beat.
I'm in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare, so if you're covered by them, we're good to go! If you prefer self-pay, my rate is $150 per 50-minute session. Whatever your choice, I'll make the process as smooth as possible for you.
Absolutely not! I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s perfectly okay. If you don’t want to drink it, you don’t have to. Therapy is all about finding the right connection, and if that’s not with me, no hard feelings! I’ll even help you find another therapist who might be a better match for your unique style and needs. Think of it as matchmaking for your mental health – I want you to find your perfect therapeutic soulmate. So, no worries, we’ll make sure you get the support you deserve!
